Who are we?

In short: we are you! The "Fachschaft Philosophie" is an open committee. Every philosophy student is viewed as a member, and is welcome to take part in meetings and votes.

You can find out more on our new website!

What do we do?

As representatives of the students, the interests of the students are our first priority. We represent all philosophy students in the "Fächerübergreifender Bachelor", "Master Lehramt an Gymnasien" and "M.A. Philosophy of Science" programs. If you have any problems with structures, teachers, planning, or anything else, please come and see us, and we will do anything in our power to find a solution! We also represent the philosophy students on various committees within the university, and to the wider public. Finally, we organise social events (e.g. game nights, excursions for first-semester students) and information sessions (e.g. information on studying philosophy at the institute for high school students).

How can you participate?

Everything that we do, you can do too! Whichever of our activities sound interesting to you - whether it be political representation of your fellow students, planning and organising fun events, or helping others find answers and solutions - we will welcome you with open arms. Just drop by one of our meetings - you can find a schedule on the "Fachschaft" notice board (on the third floor of the institute).
