Research stays for philosophers fleeing Ukraine

On behalf of the Institute of Philosophy at Leibniz University Hannover, we wish to protest against the Russian government's invasion of Ukraine and express our solidarity with people fleeing war throughout the world.

On behalf of the Institute of Philosophy at Leibniz University Hannover, we wish to protest against the Russian government''s invasion of Ukraine and express our solidarity with people fleeing war throughout the world.

We would welcome expressions of interest by Ukrainian philosophers seeking refuge in Germany to apply for a 6-12 months research stay with us through this call <https://www.volkswagenstiftung.de/en/funding/our-funding-portfolio-at-a-glance/funding-for-refugee-scholars-and-scientists-from-ukraine>by the Volkswagen Foundation. The Institute of Philosophy has a research focus on the philosophy of science, including general philosophy and ethics of science, as well as applied fields such as biomedical ethics or the ethics of AI. If you have research interests that match these fields, please get in contact with Philippe van Basshuysen (philippe.van.basshuysen@philos.uni-hannover.de) in order to clarify whether we might be able to host you under this programme. We would be interested in supporting applications by doctoral students, postdocs, or senior scientists.
