Position: Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in Philosophy of Biology

The Institute of Philosophy invites applications for the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in Philosophy of Biology (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting November 1, 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is limited to 18 months.

This position is part of the research project “The Explanatory Scope of Generalized Darwinism: Towards Criteria for Evolutionary Explanations Outside Biology” (GenDar), which is funded jointly by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR). The GenDar project consists of two research teams, one at the Institute of Philosophy (Leibniz University Hannover) and one at the Institut d’Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). The project is jointly lead by Thomas Reydon (Hannover) and Philippe Huneman (Paris).
