In Memoriam
The Institute of Philosophy is mourning the passing of its former student and colleague, Jan-Felix Müller.
We were informed by his family that Jan-Felix passed away in Florida on October 22, 2024, after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle. We are deeply shocked by this tragic news, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Jan-Felix was a member of our Institute for a long time. We remember him as an extraordinarily gifted and intelligent student, as a beloved colleague and as a friend whose philosophical spirit and natural warmth were beautifully aligned. Numerous students knew him from classes and tutorials and will remember him with affection and admiration. In the summer of 2022 Jan-Felix joined Florida State University as a Ph.D. student to write a dissertation about free will.
We will always be touched by his enthusiasm, his generous personality, and his intellectual maturity and depth. We are profoundly grateful for the time we had with Jan-Felix.
We kindly invite you to visit the memory page initiated by colleagues at FSU and share your thoughts, memories, or pictures: https://www.forevermissed.com/jan-felix/about
