Institut empfängt Preisträgerin des Humboldt-Forschungspreises Prof. Dr. Rebecca Kukla im Jahr 2020/21

Das Institut für Philosophie ist sehr erfreut, mitteilen zu können, dass Prof. Dr. Mathias Frisch Prof. Dr. Rebecca Kukla erfolgreich für den Humboldt-Forschungspreis nominiert hat. Im Zuge dessen wird das Institut Prof. Dr. Kukla in diesem und dem nächsten Jahr als Gastproffessorin empfangen. Sie wird vorraussichtlich von Mai bis July 2020 und von März bis Dezember 2021 in Hannover zu Gast sein.

Nachfolgend die Laudatio für Rebecca Kukla:

Professor Rebecca Kukla is internationally well-known for her outstanding work in social epistemology, bioethics, and the philosophy of the applied sciences, integrating traditional core themes in analytic philosophy with issues of high socio-political importance. During her stay in Germany, she will develop further her work on cartography, geographic information systems, and the visual representation of data and will continue her research on linguistic pragmatics and socially potent speech. 

Professor Rebecca Kukla is hosted by Professor Mathias Frisch at the Leibniz University of Hannover.
