Profil

Uljana Feest studierte Psychologie, Philosophie sowie Geschichte und Philosophie der Wissenschaften in Frankfurt a.M., Bristol und Pittsburgh. 1994 schloss sie ihr Psychologiestudium mit einem Diplom an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt ab. Nach zweijähriger Tätigkeit als Mitarbeiterin eines interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekt am Institut für Sozial-Ökologische Forschung (Frankfurt a. M.) folgte ein Promotionsstudium am Department of History and Philosophy of Science der University of Pittsburgh. Dort verfasste sie ihre Dissertation (Operationism, Experimentation, and Concept Formation), mit der sie 2003 promoviert wurde. 

Von 2003-2006 war Uljana Feest zunächst als Postdoktorandin und dann als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte (Berlin) tätig. Von 2006 bis 2012 lehrte und forschte sie im Rahmen einer Stiftungsdozentur des Stifterverbandes für die deutsche Wissenschaft an der Technischen Universität Berlin. Nach Gastaufenthalten am Center for Philosophy of Science der University of Pittsburgh, der University of Michigan und dem Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung hat Uljana Feest seit März 2014 die Professur für Philosophie der Sozialwissenschaften und Sozialphilosophie an der Leibniz-Universität Hannover inne.
